Installation of PTF02004

Option for maintaining the journaling of physicals in production.

After restoring the downloaded ptf software into the FENIX library, use the DSPPGM (Display Program) or DSPOBJAUT (Display Object Authority) command to identify the owner of the following programs in the system library (FENIXQQQ), where QQQ is the FENIX environment acronym. Delete the programs.:

  1. SCL005CL;
  2. SCL050CL;
  3. SCL111Cl;

Re-activate the system (option 1, F17 y F18).

The new versions of the programs and files will appear in library FENIXQQQ.

Change the ownership of the programs to what they previously were

This PTF is activated by setting special indicatos number 047 - Maintain PF journaling file attributes to a Y(=Yes).

The setting of special indicators is done via option 99 (Mantain Special Indicators).

In addition to setting the special indicator on (Y=Yes), this function must also be turned on at application level.

This is done via option 2 - Application maintenance.

As shown below, in the centre of the screen the following text appears before the journaling indicator as 'Mnt jrn' followed by the actual indicator (Y or N). The text and field will only appear when special indicator 047 is set to Y(Yes).

Maintenance of common ACP libraries

This PTF also includes a new method for maintaining the common ACP libraries (previously done via FENIX menu option 96 - Maintain Common and/or Non-Standard ACP Libraries.

Option 2 - Application maintenance option now also provides for the definition of the common ACP libraries.

As shown below, in the top right hand corner of the screen a new indicator identified by the text 'Common ACP Lib:' must be set to Y(Yes) and followed by the common ACP library name. If set to N(No), then the library field must be set to blanks, in which case the acceptance library will be the standard XXXXXXACP library shown immediately above it, where XXXXXX is the application acronym.

Messages files:

This PTF contains a message file which will have to be merged into the FENIX message file, SCLMSGF, in the FENIX library.

This is done by using the AS/400 Merge Message File command, MRGMSGF, as follows:
